Summer Production Camps

ACT’s Summer Camps offer young performers the chance to spend their days creating, collaborating, and telling stories onstage. Whether your ACTor is stepping into theatre for the first time or ready to take their skills to the next level, our camps are designed to build confidence, creativity, and a love of performance; all while having a lot of fun.

Each camp culminates in a fully staged performance for family and friends.

Daily Camp Information

What to Bring Each Day:

  • A packed lunch (Nut free)  (Include link to allergy policies) 
  • Snacks
  • A reusable water bottle

What to Wear:

  • Comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement
  • Closed-toe shoes recommended

ACTors will spend their days rehearsing, playing theatre games, learning performance skills, and collaborating with peers in a supportive and creative environment. A final performance that includes sets, props, costumes, etc. will be the cumulating project at the end of the camp session. 

Into the Woods Jr. 

Dates: June 29th-July 17th
*No camp on July 3rd*
Camp weeks 1 + 2 @ Highrock (735 Massachusetts Ave), week 3 at Minuteman High School

Tuition: $1800
Ages: 12-18
Camp Times: 9:00-4:00
Final Performances: Friday the 17th (5PM?) and Saturday the 18th (2 PM?) @ Minuteman High School
Location: Camp weeks 1 + 2 @ Highrock (735 Massachusetts Ave), week 3 at Minuteman High School

About the Program:

This three-week teen intensive is designed for experienced and motivated performers who are ready to dive deep into the rehearsal process and put on a full production of Into the Woods. ACTors will work on vocal technique, character development, ensemble storytelling, and stagecraft while rehearsing a challenging and beloved musical.

This program emphasizes growth, collaboration, and commitment; perfect for teens looking to strengthen their skills in a supportive but focused environment.

Winnie the Pooh Kids

Dates: July 13th-24th
Tuition: $1200
Ages: 6-11
Camp Times: 9:00-4:00
Final Performance: Friday, July 24th @ High Rock
Location: HighRock (735 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington) for both camp and performance

About the Program:
Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood! This joyful, beginner-friendly camp is perfect for young performers who want to explore theatre through imagination, play, and storytelling. ACTors will learn the basics of singing, acting, and movement while bringing these classic characters to life.

Expect lots of theatre games, creative exploration, and big smiles as campers build confidence and discover the fun of performing onstage.

James and the Giant Peach Jr. 

Dates: July 27th-August 7th
Location: High Rock Church (735 Massachusetts Ave Arlington)
Tuition: $1200
Ages: 8-12
Camp Times: 9:00-4:00
Final Performance: Friday, August 7th @ Highrock (5 PM?)

Adventure awaits! This high-energy camp is ideal for ACTors who are ready to take the next step in their theatre journey. Campers will strengthen their acting, singing, and movement skills while working together to tell the magical story of James and the Giant Peach Jr.

With plenty of silliness, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, this camp balances skill-building with pure theatrical fun.
