ACT’s 2025–26 Season

One Act Play Festival

We are rebooting ACT’s One Act Play Festival this fall! Many of your favorite ACT directors are returning to lead individual one-act plays, each featuring a small cast to ensure students receive focused, one-on-one attention and mentorship throughout the rehearsal process. This festival is a fantastic opportunity for young performers to dive deeper into character development, build confidence, and work closely with experienced directors in an intimate and supportive setting. Don’t miss this unique chance to be part of ACT history!

  • Ages: 10 and up
  • Auditions: September 3, 5-8pm
  • Performances: October 10 and 11, 7
  • Rehearsals: Beginning September 8, schedule set per show

Shrek the Musical

Shrek the Musical

Get ready for a hilarious, heartwarming adventure in Shrek the Musical, where fairy tales are flipped upside down! Join Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and a swamp full of beloved characters as they journey through a world of laughs, love, and layers. With two full casts of ACT performers, dazzling choreography, catchy songs, and a whole lot of ogre-sized charm, this larger-than-life production celebrates friendship, acceptance, and the magic of being yourself. It’s big fun for the whole family, because in this story, everyone deserves a happily ever after!

Finding Nemo Kids

Finding Nemo KIDS

Dive into the deep blue sea with Finding Nemo KIDS, a 30-minute musical adventure perfect for our younger performers! Follow the heartwarming journey of Marlin and Dory as they search for Marlin’s curious son, Nemo, across the ocean. Along the way, they meet a colorful cast of characters and discover the power of friendship, bravery, and never giving up. With catchy songs, lively movement, and unforgettable moments, this show is a perfect introduction to the stage for young performers and a splash of fun for the whole family!

  • Ages: 6-10
  • Auditions: TBD (Jan 6–8)
  • Performances: February 13–14
  • Rehearsals: starting January 11, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 5–7pm

Spring 2026

Legally Blonde Jr.

Bend and snap your way into the spotlight with Legally Blonde Jr.! This fabulously fun musical follows Elle Woods as she trades her signature pink for Harvard Law to win back her love, only to discover her own strength along the way. With catchy songs, big dance numbers, and a message of confidence and staying true to yourself, this junior edition is packed with spirit, sass, and heart. Featuring two talented casts of ACT performers, Legally Blonde Jr. proves that being yourself never goes out of style!

  • Ages: 8–13
  • Auditions: February 11 & 12  (potential callbacks on February 13)
  • Performances: April 30 – May 2
  • Rehearsals: beginning February 22; (red cast Sun, Mon, Wed; blue cast Sun, Tues, Thurs)

Zombie Prom: Atomic Edition

It’s the 1950s, the hair is high, the skirts are swingin’, and the dead are rising! In this high-energy, campy rock musical, a teenage rebel named Jonny comes back from the grave (and the nuclear plant) to win back his true love, Toffee, and take her to prom. Full of catchy tunes, outrageous characters, and atomic-era flair, Zombie Prom: Atomic Edition is a hilarious and heartfelt spoof that’s equal parts romance, rock ‘n’ roll, and radioactive fun. It’s a toe-tapping tale of love, acceptance, and embracing your inner zombie!

  • Auditions: May 5-7 (callbacks TBA)
  • Rehearsals: beginning May 17; Sunday, 3:30-6:30; Monday–Thursday, 5–8pm
  • Performances: June 25–27
